Enning Road, located in Xiguan District, Guangzhou, is known as the most beautiful arcade commercial street. After several years, houses around the road are in disrepair for a long time and the ecological environment is in disorder. Adhering to the concept of green and sustainable, the designer successfully repaired the historical buildings and reproduced the ecological balance of the area. The updated Enning road provides sufficient waterfront activity space for citizens and alleviates the urban heat island effect. By recycling waste materials, designers have realized the environmental protection and sustainability of buildings. The application of sponge city technology has greatly saved regional water resources. This project successfully revitalizes state-owned assets, promotes the prosperity and development of tourism, and greatly improves the regional economic output and vitality.
